Executive Vice-President Virkkunen in Spain to support digital innovation

On 29 and 30 April, Executive Vice-President for Tech Sovereignty, Security and Democracy, Henna Virkkunen, is travelling to Valencia to support digitalisation and innovation.

The Executive Vice-President will visit a Digital Innovation Hub. The Hub is part of a network of European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs) that support companies and public sector organisations in digitalising their operations and embracing innovation. The Hubs offer technical expertise, test technologies and give trainings. 

The Executive Vice-President will also visit the Valencia Research Institute for Artificial Intelligence (AI) that is part of the University of Valencia. A strong scientific and research base will play a key role in developing innovative AI technologies and contribute to making Europe a leading AI continent
